Token Pacer License Terms

These License Terms apply to Token Pacer, a macOS application made by Token Pacer.
By downloading, installing, purchasing, or using Token Pacer, you agree to these terms.
1. License, not sale
Token Pacer is licensed, not sold.
When you buy a Token Pacer license, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the app according to these terms.
2. License scope
A Token Pacer license is for:
- one developer / individual user
- up to 3 Macs owned or primarily used by that person
- personal or professional use by that person
You may use Token Pacer for your own work, including commercial work, as long as the license is not shared with other people.
3. What you may not do
You may not:
- share, resell, rent, sublicense, or distribute your license key
- use one license for multiple people
- modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract Token Pacer's source code, except where allowed by law
- remove license checks or bypass activation
- use Token Pacer to build a competing product by copying its design, behavior, or implementation
- abuse the license system or attempt fraudulent activations
4. Activation
Token Pacer may contact a licensing service to validate your license key, manage activations, and prevent abuse.
The app does not require an account for local usage tracking.
License activation is separate from usage tracking. Token Pacer does not upload your prompts, source code, agent logs, or usage history as part of normal app usage.
5. Local data and privacy
Token Pacer is local-first.
The app reads supported local agent logs and stores usage data locally on your Mac.
Token Pacer does not upload:
- your prompts
- your source code
- your agent logs
- your local usage history
- your project/session data
A separate Privacy Policy may provide more detail about license activation, payment processing, support emails, crash reports if any, and optional external services.
6. Payments
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy or another payment provider. We do not directly store your full payment card details.
Your purchase may also be subject to the payment provider's buyer terms.
7. Refunds
You can request a refund within 14 days of purchase if Token Pacer does not work for your setup or does not meet your expectations.
Refunds may be refused in cases of abuse, fraud, repeated refund requests, or violation of these terms.
8. Updates
Your early launch license includes all Token Pacer 1.x updates.
Future major versions, such as 2.x, may require a paid upgrade.
We may provide bug fixes, compatibility updates, and new features at our discretion.
9. Supported systems
Token Pacer requires macOS 13 Ventura or later and is optimized for macOS 14+ on Apple silicon.
Support for specific AI coding agents depends on the availability and reliability of local logs and/or provider-native signals.
10. Accuracy of usage data
Token Pacer is a pacing and visibility tool.
Some values may be exact, while others may be estimated depending on the source:
- provider-native signals where available
- local log data
- event-recorded cost
- pricing-table estimates
- unavailable or unknown signals
Token Pacer should not be treated as an official billing record. Always rely on your provider's official billing or quota pages for final billing and account decisions.
11. No warranty
Token Pacer is provided "as is" and "as available."
We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, compatible with every setup, or accurate for every provider, model, or log format.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, business interruption, unexpected AI provider charges, missed quota limits, or other losses related to use of Token Pacer.
Our total liability for any claim related to Token Pacer is limited to the amount you paid for your license.
13. Termination
We may terminate or disable a license if you violate these terms, share your license key, bypass activation, abuse the licensing system, or use Token Pacer unlawfully.
If your license is terminated, you must stop using Token Pacer.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users through the website, app, or release notes.
